Tiny Living
Tiny House, Big Living….
Over a year ago, I stumbled across a website called Tumbleweed Houses (www. tumbleweedhouses.com). I was immediately smitten by the charm, mobility and energy efficiency of these little homes- here was freedom on wheels! I’ve nurtured a vision of living in a Tumbleweed home in order to live a sustainable lifestyle which will allow me to pursue this dream of farming.
The plan is to host a series of workshops on building a small, energy efficient home using recycled and sustain-ably deconstructed materials. I’ve gathered together several local green-minded professionals who are willing to dedicate their energy to this project. I hope to have Charleston Magazine cover the workshops in a feature story on how our local community is incredibly supportive of one another, to feature the professionals who volunteered to help and to expound on the benefits of simple living.
